VCake App

Design Brief

This project requires designing a logo for a vegan cake shop named ‘VCake’ and the user interface for their app on mobile.

 

Design Concept

In my design, I selected leaves as graphic elements to combine with typographic elements to create the logo, and used a cake shape as logo background to highlight the product. As the colour green suggests plants, I selected it to be the main colour of the app to emphasize that the product is vegan.

 

Technical Skills

In addition to using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, I explored a lot of UX design skills in this project. To plan the app, I conducted user research to identify pain points in using food apps, analyzed the key features for this app, completed user flows, produced a prototype on paper to test. Based on feedback, I designed user interfaces and wireframes in Figma.
